No. 24 UNLV To Face Cal In Art Of Sport LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – No. 24-ranked UNLV will face Cal in the 2024 Art of Sport LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk on Wednesday, Dec. 18, organizers announced Sunday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. PT and the game will be televised by ESPN.
The Rebels (10-3/6-1), who just competed in their second consecutive Mountain West Championship, will play in back-to-back bowls for the first time in history and face the Golden Bears (6-6/2-6), who are completing their first season as members of the ACC, for only the second time. Cal defeated UNLV 20-14 in Berkeley during the 2022 season.
UNLV, which is 3-2 all-time in bowls, will play its second postseason game in the Golden State as the 1984 squad won the now-defunct California Bowl in Fresno. The Rebels will attempt to win a fourth game this season against an "A5" conference member after defeating Kansas, Houston and Oregon State, all on the road. Cal will also be the second ACC member to take on UNLV this season along with Syracuse.
The fourth Art of Sport LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, home of the NFL's Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.
