LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – While still not complete, UNLV Football's record-setting recruiting class is turning heads nationally after National Signing Day.

According to 247Sports, the Rebels' Class of 2021 ranks second in the Mountain West and eighth among all Group of 5 schools. Its standing of 67th overall is 13 spots higher than a year ago and a stunning 36 spots higher than the average ranking for UNLV's classes in the decade previous to head coach Marcus Arroyo's arrival on campus (averaged 103rd from 2010-19).

The average 247Sports per-player rating of .8324 shattered last year's school-record mark of .8145. This group of Rebel signees is also tied for second in the MW and ranked 68th nationally by Rivals.

UNLV, which still has three remaining scholarships to award before next season, announced a 19-player class during December's early signing period and then added a trio of talented transfers who are already enrolled at the school: former Indiana wide receiver Jordan Jakes (6-5, 210), former Oregon running back Jayvaun Wilson (6-2, 210) and JC offensive lineman Brandon Logan (6-6, 270) out of Cerritos College.

Arroyo's first UNLV class in 2020 ranked first in the MW and tied for 79th nationally per Rivals and second in the league and 80th overall according to 247Sports. This marks the first time since the introduction of the recruiting rankings that the Rebels finished in the top two of the Mountain West in consecutive years. Before Arroyo, the only other time UNLV reached that status was 2003 when Hall of Fame coach John Robinson's recruits ranked second in the MW and a school-record-high 66th overall on the 247Sports list.

Season tickets for the 2021 season of UNLV football, which features six games at Allegiant Stadium, are now on sale. The Rebels will kick off their season hosting Eastern Washington on September 2 and Fiesta Bowl champion Iowa State comes to town September 18.
